ICAN NV Chairwoman Wins Election

Israeli-American Civic Action Network (“ICAN”) co-founder, national board member, and Nevada state Chairwoman, Sigal Chattah, wins her primary for Attorney General, defeating her opponent by a wide margin. Chattah’s candidacy is historic. We expect Chattah to win the general election in November, making her the first Israeli-American ever elected to statewide office in the United States.


Election 2022 Support & Opposition

It’s that time of year again, election season, and this round we have expanded our vetting of candidates to California, released the first Hebrew language voter guide, and are working to actively oppose pro-BDS candidates.

Honoring Israel & Beverly Hills

Combating State-sponsored Holocaust distortion was the subject of a Holocaust Remembrance ceremony on April 25 in West Hollywood.

California Honors Israeli-Americans

In honor of Israel’s 74th Independence Day, the California Assembly passed House Resolution 99, honoring Israeli-Americans. Full text of the resolution is available here.

$1.8 Million: Commission on State of Hate Fully Funded

ICAN California’s signature 2021 legislation, Assembly Bill 1126, establishing the Commission on the State of Hate, designed to combat antisemitism and other forms of hate, was fully funded with a $1.8 million appropriation in the final budget proposed by Governor Newsom and the California Legislature.

Celebrating Israel’s Independence Day in West Hollywood

ICAN joined the Consulate General of Israel in Los Angeles and West Hollywood Councilmember Lindsey Horvath at City Hall, lit in blue and white for Israel’s Independence Day.

Holocaust Education Delegation to Israel

ICAN Holocaust education advocates Grant Gochin and Silvia Foti traveled to Israel to raise awareness about state-sponsored Holocaust distortion and denial.

Iran Outlook 2022

The Iran nuclear deal is currently being renegotiated in Vienna, the Biden administration just extended sanctions relief to Tehran, and the regional destabilization caused by the Islamic Republic is becoming the top foreign policy issue.
